Please assist us by ensuring that you do not contact individual staff members within the Financial Services
Systems team in relation to support calls.
Directing all support calls to our Finance One Helpdesk will ensure that all calls are logged in HP Servicedesk in order that the Systems team can:
Respond in a timely and effective way;
Monitor and manage the cause and resolution of all support issues
being raised; and
Ensure your support call is directed to the person best-placed to
resolve your issue.
Enquiries and Reporting
Finance One records the core financial functions of the University. Within Finance One is a powerful enquiry tool, Executive Information Enquiries ("EIE").
Please note that the Finance Web Reporting System (external to Finance One) is no longer available. All reports previously accessible via web reporting, now reside within the Finance One system. These reports are now called "XLONE CUSTOM REPORTS". All reports are produced in EXCEL format using XLOne.
As XLOne Custom Reports now reside within Finance One, all users wishing to access these reports, require valid Finance One access. A Finance One application form must be completed and forwarded to the Finance One Helpdesk.
XLOne Custom Reports that are available range from: Cost Centre reports, Line Item reports, Chart of Account reports and Budget reports.
The structure of the University's Divisions and Areas play an important role in the structure of the Chart of Accounts within the Finance One system. To enable the flexible reporting of financial activities across the University the Chart of Accounts, adopts a component structure and utilises selection codes. The Quick Reference Sheets (QRS) provide information on account components and selection codes.
